Terms of Use

Plain terms for a small app. Use it kindly, understand what it can and cannot do, and know that a forgotten password cannot be recovered.

The service

Two in the Bush is a private messenger for exactly two people who pair with each other. By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Your account and your password

• You sign in with your Apple Account. You are responsible for keeping access to that account and to your device secure.
• Your messages are protected by a password you choose, which we never see and cannot recover. If you forget it, your history on that device cannot be recovered - by us or anyone else. This is a deliberate part of the design, not a fault.
• Ten wrong password attempts erase the conversation from that device, and resetting the password leaves the pair. Both are intentional safeguards.

Acceptable use & zero tolerance

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You agree not to use Two in the Bush to break the law, to harass, threaten, or harm anyone, to send content that is illegal, or to attempt to attack, overload, or reverse the service's infrastructure. The app is strictly one-to-one - there are no groups, discovery, or forwarding - and you pair only with someone you already know, by a code shared privately between you.

Because messages are end-to-end encrypted, we cannot read content. Moderation therefore acts on accounts, not messages:

• Report. You can report the person you are paired with from inside the app. A report sends us only the two account identifiers and a short reason - never any message content - and immediately ends the pair.
• Block. You can block the person you are paired with. A blocked account can never pair with you again.
• Our action. We review every report and act within 24 hours, ejecting abusive accounts by banning them. By agreeing to these terms you accept that there is no tolerance for abusive users or objectionable content.

What we can and cannot do

The service relays end-to-end encrypted data. We cannot read your messages, recover your password, retrieve deleted or undelivered content, or restore a burned conversation. Please do not rely on the app as your only copy of anything you cannot bear to lose.

Availability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". It is a small, independent project. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of messages, or other damages arising from your use of - or inability to use - the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you; nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending use

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time from within it. We may end or restrict access for anyone who violates these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the developer's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. (To be finalised at public launch.)
